PanLex: Contribute content

You can help PanLex by finding content and making it available to us.

What content do we want?

For example, we don’t need another Russian–English dictionary, but a Russian–Avar dictionary would help (Avar is a minority language spoken in Russia). Arabic and Simplified Chinese are both well-represented in our collection, but a Chinese–Arabic dictionary would help. We have a French–Occitan dictionary of information technology, but not one of medicine. There is no dictionary of Takwane (spoken in Mozambique) in our collection. In fact, our collection has data on about 9,000 language varieties, but there are about 2,000 languages still missing from it.

The “PanLex Identifiers” shown in our collection use ISO 639 alpha-3 codes. You can find those codes by searching for language names, for example in Wikipedia and Ethnologue.
